How to Get to Skien Airport

Skien Airport Skien is an international airport located in Geitereggen, five kilometers from the capital city of Skien, Northern Norway. It was formerly served by local airport, Widerøe, which is also known as Bergen International Airport. Now owned by Skien municipality, it is last served by Vikingair with regular flights to Stockholm and Bergen Airport. The airport is 2,600-by-10-kilometer and has a runway numbering 01-19.

This airport is very close to the railway station which connects to Norway's main cities. In fact, there are direct train connections to Bergen, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo. To reach Skien airport by train, you need to take either trains Norway or from Stockholm Central Station.

You can also travel in a direct way by car, as there is a road leading directly to the airport. You can also take the bus from Skovar which is situated in a beautiful valley close to the coast line.

Skien airport is served by two international airports, one being the Osloven airport and the other the Oslo Airport. The Osloven airport is the largest in Norway serving domestic and international flights and the Oslo airport is the second busiest airport in Norway. If you are going to be flying to Skien airport from any other part of Norway, make sure that the airline you are taking can provide you with a direct flight.
